Who wouldn’t love to give their home a complete makeover? How many of us are just dying to get everything organized and beautiful?!?! Many of us would love to give our home a fresh start this year, but we don’t know where to start. This year I am so thrilled to guide you through a six-month journey to making over your home.

I know that as busy moms, time and capacity are limited, so I will make it very simple and break down each aspect of your home makeover into monthly tasks according to seasonal needs. Better yet, I am digging deep to find out when is the best time to purchase home goods for furniture, appliances, bedding, and all other home improvement items.
Many of us shrink back from this seemingly insurmountable task because it is just too overwhelming, but not anymore. I am making it very simple!
January is a month that begs a fresh start…a cleaning out…renewal. So let’s start with a few really simple tasks you can tackle over the next few weeks so you can be on your way to a complete home makeover!
1. Edit your home – Make a plan
First things first….make a plan. Walk around your home, and jot down all the goals you want to achieve for the year in no particular order. Then give your home a clean sweep and make a plan to purge.
2. Purge -give your home a clean sweep
Edit to the bare minimum, donate everything you don’t use to charity and store or relocate the items you aren’t using. Setting up a home can really be daunting for just about anyone. But You can do this….

3. Buy January Needs
If you are in need of any of the following items, January tends to be the best time to buy: Furniture, linens, bedding, carpeting and flooring. Check your local stores for sales on these items.

So no more procrastinating. Let’s get started! By breaking it down into manageable steps and small pieces every month it feels doable! In just six months you will feel like your home has had a refresh! I’m excited to journey with you through this!
Blessings,
Sandra Maddox
Something like this has been on my heart for awhile but I haven’t had a structured plan. This is even better involving God more.
